The Novogratz, the interior design, development and product design brand created by Cortney and Robert Novogratz, named John Frierson as its new president.
Frierson joins the company after a stint as president of Fred Segal, founder of the Lifestyle Group at Creative Artists Agency, as well as owner of his own branding and licensing agency based in New York and Paris, The Novogratz will have new opportunities to enhance their business from a retail perspective worldwide, create new and exciting collaborations, as well as increase their e-commerce business exponentially, taking their business to a new level.

At Fred Segal, Frierson created the brand’s flagship in Los Angeles, expanding the experiential retail model across the globe. He also revamped Fred Segal’s e-commerce business and launched lucrative and elevating collaborations with global brands such as CB2, RRL, Wrangler and others.
In 2019, Frierson packaged the business, identified a new investor, and sold the company in January 2020. At Creative Artists Agency, he created and launched new brands for major retailers, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in sales, while working with celebrities in the designer and lifestyle arena. Frierson also spearheaded CAA’s first private equity fund in consumer goods, identifying emerging brands for growth and activation.
