Pittsfield, Mass. – Annie Selke is bringing art to textiles through a partnership with painter Cynthia Wick.
“Her work hangs very happily in my house, and her friendship lives very happily in my heart,” Selke said of the Berkshires-based artist.
Wick showed her abstract landscapes and paintings of flowers at a solo show at The Berkshire Botanical Gardens – Cynthia Wick: The Shape of Color – in 2019. Her collaboration with Selke includes both landscapes and scenes from the woods surrounding Wick’s Lenox home.
The collection includes 10 pillows and eight fine art prints featuring Wick’s colorful work and launches on Feb. 25. Prices for Wick’s pieces start at $70.
“Translating art into usable and affordable textiles is a lifelong dream, and it’s been thrilling to collaborate with Annie and her team,” said Wick. “I hope that this collection will inspire our inner artists to take a risk – paint a wall a color you adore from one of the pillows – and reinvent how we see our own living spaces.”
